At the Royal Pacific Resort, guests are transported to the isles of the South Pacific. When approaching the resort, guests pass through a towering bamboo forest and authentic Kul-Kul tower -- a Balinese structure used to celebrate special occasions. Once visitors cross a bamboo bridge they enter the lobby, which surrounds an open-air Orchid Court – a space filled with hundreds of brilliantly colored orchids, exotically shaped palm trees, hand-carved stone statues and hand-painted panels, all from remote island villages.

Royal Pacific Resort, which opened in June 2002, offers 1,000 luxury rooms and suites, with Club Floor rooms and Club Lounge and Executive, Hospitality, Governors and Presidential Suites. Guests can dine at several areas on the property, including: Emeril’s Tchoup Chop, a fine-dining South Pacific culinary experience from celebrity Chef Emeril Lagasse, The Islands Dining Room, Jake’s American Bar, Bula Bar & Grille and Orchid Court Lounge.

The resort has a massive lagoon pool, complete with its own island. The pool area covers 12,000 square feet and the recreation area has a 4,000 square-foot interactive play area. Additionally, the resort has nearly 85,000 square-feet of meeting space and 25,000 square-feet of outdoor space that is ideal for theme events.

Guests at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando can not only soak in the sights and sounds of the Pacific islands, but also the tastes of the island’s cuisine. The Royal Pacific Resort offers a wide variety of dining experiences for diners to enjoy. If dining in is more your style, the Royal Pacific Resort offers a 24-hour room service menu to all guests. Reservations are recommended for some restaurants, which can be obtained by calling 407-503-DINE.

Emeril’s Tchoup Chop - In both atmosphere and menu, Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Tchoup Chop (pronounced “chop-chop”) offers diners a unique and exotic journey through the Pacific Seas. With dishes including Polynesian crab cakes, Kalua pork, and homemade coconut crème brulee, the cuisine at Tchoup Chop focuses on the islands of the Pacific with an Asian and European accent, complemented by Chef Emeril’s signature bold flavors. The name of the restaurant comes from a combination of Tchoupitoulas Street, where Emeril’s original restaurant is located in New Orleans, and the culinary term “chop.”

Designed by the renowned Rockwell Group of New York City, the restaurant is a South-Pacific inspired paradise, with the soft color of natural woods accented by the bright colors of tropical flowers. The restaurant is designed as a space within a space, surrounded by a terrarium of lush plants, waterfalls and sculpted gardens. Polished granite wraps the floor and forms a crystal-clear pool at the center of the space. Set in a lush tropical environment, Tchoup Chop features an expo kitchen that utilizes woks and a wood-burning grill, allowing guests to catch a glimpse inside the kitchen.

The Islands Dining Room - The Islands Dining Room features both Pacific cuisine and standard fare, serving three meals a day. The restaurant also offers both adult and children’s buffets on select nights and character dining, where children can share a meal with some of their favorite characters from Universal’s two theme parks. The restaurant’s interior design depicts casual style of island living and features hand-carved wood panels complemented by custom painted murals, unique collection of artifacts and furniture imported for the hotel.

Jake’s American Bar - Connected to Islands Dining Room is Jake’s American Bar. Decorated to celebrate the romantic era of Clipper ship travel in the Pacific region, the bar features a collection of flight and travel memorabilia from Jake’s (a popular pilot during the “Golden Age of Travel”) journeys, and transport guests to a more romantic time, giving the bar a relaxed, casual island feel. Jake’s is a perfect spot to grab a drink with friends or to pick up a quick bite with the family.

Wantilan Luau - For an unforgettable experience for the entire family, the Wantilan Luau dinner show is performed every Saturday evening in the Royal Garden. The show features fire eaters, hula dancers, and additional luau performers who will guide visitors through stories of the South Seas. Guests will savor the exotic tastes of the South Pacific with an all-you-care-to-eat dinner buffet. Reservations are recommended in advance.

Bula Bar & Grille - Further quick service options are available at Bula Bar & Grille, located next to the hotel’s signature 12,000 square foot pool. Bula is a casual and quick poolside eatery that serves food and beverages with a tropical flair.
