Set on a 1930's looking stage Beetlejuice summons
classic movie monsters... Frankenstein, Dracula,
Wolfman and The Bride of Frankenstein to rock the
house to modern classic Rock 'n' Roll tunes. The
show has just been redone again (April 2006) there
are new songs, and a slightly new script, over all
it is the very same show just new music.

EARTHQUAKE
is based on the 1974 blockbuster film. This ride
is broken down into 4 parts, the first part being
"Movie Magic" which the host talks about
various movie effects and offers demonstrations.
The gag is "Gene Kelly wasn't singing in the
rain... he was singing in the milk."
The
host then picks people from the crowd to help in
the 3rd part of the show "How
The Magic is Created" they pick the most eager
people either kids or adults. Then we move on to
"Behind The Magic" where we are shown
various clips of Universal Films such as Jurassic
Park, Back to the Future, Twister, T2 and more.
Then Charlton Heston reveals how the effects in
EARTHQUAKE were created. Then we are shown various
Movie Props, the small cityscape used in EARTHQUAKE,
U571 Sub, The Grinch Sled, and E.T.'s UFO. Then
we are ushered to the 3rd part of the show "How
Magic is Created" Their is a U571 Mockup Sub
with a blue screen behind it. The crew picked at
the beginning of the show are used here to show
how "blue screens" are used in films.
Then we go to the stunt man who was picked at the
beginning of the show who dangles 4 stories in the
air to show "map paint" technique. Then
the final part is the ride itself. You take the
Bay Area Rapid Transit down to Embarcadero Square,
when you get there you feel a slight tremor, and
think nothing of it. Then the "Big One"
hits... 8.3 on the Richter Scale, flames shot up
from the ground as gas pipes rupture. A ceiling
above caves in as a gasoline tanker truck from the
road above slams into a concrete pillar on the left
side of the tram exploding into a massive ball of
flames. Then another tram on the opposite side of
the station runs off the track and narrowly misses
the tram. The EARTHQUAKE stops, but when you think
it's over water rushes down the steps on the right
of the tram getting people on that side wet as the
host yells "CUT! That's a Wrap!".

Welcome to Amity Island, before you get to the ride
you travel through the small peaceful town of Amity.
With its aroma of sea food and salt water, to it's
midway, shops and restaurants you no longer believe
you are in a theme park but instead in this small
town. Captain Jake welcomes you aboard the Amity
Boat Tour where you will follow the sights of the
famous scenes of the film JAWS. The trip starts
off peaceful and serene until a mayday call is dispatched
by another tour boat. As we round the lighthouse
we see the remains of that tour boat but there are
no survivors. The waters are not safe for long as
JAWS appears off to the left. JAWS nearly tips the
boat over as he goes under it. He then appears on
the right side of the boat as the skipper fires
a grenade launcher at him. We head for a boat house
for safety, the dark foggy boat house begins to
creep and squeak as buckets of chum tip over and
boats come crashing down into the water. Then a
loud crash is heard as JAWS breaks threw the boat
house and side swipes the boat nearly tipping it
over again. We head out of the boat house to a gas
dock where the skipper is looking for JAWS with
the grenade launcher pointing out at the water.
JAWS pops up and causes the boat to tip slightly
making the skipper miss him and hit the gas dock
which goes up in flames nearly burning us to a crisp.
We quickly move on to a boat dock were we will be
unloaded, however JAWS pops up on the left and heads
right for us. Instead of taking a bite out of us
he snags an electrical wire on the High Voltage
Barge in the lagoon. The boat fills with smoke as
the air begins to smell of burnt shark. The burned
remains of JAWS floats up as he tries to make one
final attempt to devour us, but this time the skipper
hits him with the grenade launcher and he is fish
food.

Fear
Factor Live marks the first time a reality television
show has been transformed into a theme park experience.
It is also the first NBC television product to
be fully integrated into Universal’s theme parks.
Audience members will experience the thrill of
the blockbuster series in a way they could not
before: live. In each show, park guests will compete
against each other in a progression of extreme
stunts. The stunts have been developed with help
from Fear Factor’s creators and are designed to
test the physical and emotional limits of each
contestant. Imagine drinking a smoothie made
of blended worms, crickets, sauerkraut, sardines,
octopus and fish; or swinging high in the air
on a harness while tossing slimy squid to a partner;
or fishing with your bare hands through a tank
of live eels; or having a bucket of squirming,
slithering snakes dumped onto your head. Fear
Factor Live contestants will do this and more.
Members of the audience will play an interactive
role by blasting contestants with water and air
and controlling obstacles on stage. In addition,
audience members can spin the “Wheel of Fear”
and confront their own phobias.
