Toon
Lagoon is home to more than 150 of the world’s most
beloved cartoon characters from the Sunday Funnies.
Guests can stroll down Comic Strip Lane and see
life-size and life-like images of characters such
as Beetle Bailey, Hagar The Horrible and Krazy Kat,
just three of the nearly 80 characters who inhabit
this colorful part of the island. You may see most
of these characters strolling the area throughout
the day posing for pictures so keep an eye out.

Guests should be in good health and free from
heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness,
or other conditions that could be aggravated by
this adventure.
Here you'll find a log flume like you've never
experienced. The storyline follows Dudley as he
tries to save his true love, Nell Fenwick, from
the clutches of the dastardly Snidely Whiplash.
Viewers ride along with Dudley through an abandoned
sawmill, dodging saws and flames, as Snidely sets
the mill ablaze. As the story progresses, your
log goes through a couple of small drops, a la
Disney's Splash Mountain. The last drop, however,
is the kicker. Coming down the main drag, your
level of incline changes from 45 degrees to 50
degrees mid-fall. With flames flying all around,
you careen into total darkness, not knowing how
steep you are falling or where the bottom might
be. When you finally do hit bottom, you are instantly
propelled into a roller-coaster hill that plunges
you into a mass of spraying water. It's truly
a breathtaking experience.

Vehicle
A circular, white water rafting, flume ride, Popeye
and Bluto's goes a long way to distance itself
from its predecessors, Congo River Rapids at Busch
Gardens Tampa Bay and the tepid Kali River Rapids
at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Guests sit in twelve-seater,
circular rafts and follows Popeye as he tries
to save Olive Oyl from the
clutches of that blowhard Bluto.
This ride moves quickly and is more bumpier then
the other river rapids because the river is angled
so the rafts run along the banks and do not flow
perfectly down the river. Unlike some River Rapid
rides where you hardly get wet, this one will
be sure to soak everyone... there are special
water zone you pass that soak you with water,
including the people from The Olive who can fire
water cannons at you as you pass by. So before
you ride this ride put your wallet, cell phone,
anything that can get wet and damaged into the
water proof bins on the raft or in a locker.

Popeye has turned his most famous ship into an
interactive kids' play area, complete with lookout
tower, steering wheel, whistles, gears and knobs
of all sorts for the little ones to play with.
Slides and ropes link The Olive's three floors,
with just enough space for younger guests to slither
through and shimmy down. Grown-ups can take the
stairs. The Olive includes water sprayers and
a huge box of water that can be aimed at the Bilge-Rat
Bargers below.
